Latest Official Release

This version was released in June, 2006. It is no longer being worked on in preference to moving forward with development on the next version.

Current development branch

We are working on many changes towards version 2.0 which we hope to release officially by late fall, 2007. The code here changes with some frequency and may or may not be stable at any given time (though generally it is reasonably stable). Check the SVN logs to find out about new features and find information that may help with upgrading an older installation.

You can check out trunk, or any tag or branch from our Subversion repository. The URL to use in your SVN client is

GCC Advokit

The Grassroots Champions Coalition has two versions of advokit which can be accessed using Subversion with the URL <svn://PrecinctCaptains.org/svn/sources/>

A little info about those versions

One of these versions is an "EZ" version of AdvoKit which is meant only for voter-contact activists and features a substantially simplified user interface.

To use, you would install the EZ and regular versions into separate application and web roots, but configure the advokit.ini files so that both installations use the same database. You would instruct your voter contact activists to go to the url for the simplified version, while your team leaders would go to the url for the standard version.

GCC has also made some improvements, notably by adding a walk list format that is more "walk list like". Hopefully these improvements will be making it back into the "official" version of AdvoKit.
